After celebrating our 25th anniversary earlier this year, today we have broken a very important record of ours here at 4x4AT.
We have just received our biggest ever delivery of stock, as 14 shipping containers of goods destined for us here in North Yorkshire have arrived at the port of Southampton on board the container ship the Mol Tribute.
The containers started their epic 6,000-mile journey in Thailand split over two different ships before being unloaded in Shanghai and then re-loaded on to their current vessel. They encountered a short delay due to a typhoon, but have made good progress here to allow us to fulfil more customer orders and perhaps even begin to fill up our huge new warehouse.
To put this delivery into perspective, each 40ft shipping container is the size of an artic truck and if it’s truck tops inside they can hold approximately 33 canopies! These particular containers are bringing us predominantly truck tops, but also a wide range of other accessories to help us to fill our newly built additional warehouse.
Back in 2011, we had one container lost overboard in the Bay of Biscay, never to be seen again, thankfully all 14 have arrived safe and well this time.
