Great value soft tonneau for Series 6 L200 2019Took a gamble on this cover and it paid off. Needed a value for money soft tonneau for my series 6 L200.
I assembled the tonneau in place with all parts to check for fitment and position BEFORE marking and drilling the ‘J’ bar. I only drilled two holes as I felt this was sufficient.
The clamps work well, time will tell whether they corrode and loosen but they work well to hold the rails in place. No drilling required.
The two Bracing struts aren’t the best - they bend easily.
The leather tonneau cover itself is very good for the money. Once closed in position it’s taught and looks brilliant. Copes fine at 75mph on dual carriageway. Keeps the load area dry, I had loose clothes in butt, drove in torrential rain to Cornwall and everything dry on arrival.
Make sure you grease up the cable and locking mechanism before using.
Overall a nice product from Keko. Time will tell how quality the components are.
But for a tonneau cover sub £200 (excl. VAT) - It’s a fifth the price of cheaper roller covers. you couldn’t make this yourself for much cheaper.
Note on security: you can only unlock the tonneau by dropping the tailgate. Obviously if you have a locking tailgate linked to the doors this improves the security.
But it is a leather tonneau, if someone wants to get in, they will easily.Posted on
