Multipurpose Shogun Pinin is a RAV4 rival with proper 4x4 hardware including a low-ratio gearbox and diff lock. Available in both 3 and 5 door models the Pinin was much smaller than the Shogun but kept many of the styling features of the Shogun and was designed to generate an easy to drive image and a stepping stone from a car into an SUV.
