Our Amarok Sports Rollbar can be mounted on its own or combined with any one of the following accessories including: With a Roll N Lock roll top / With a Mountain Top roll top / With a Sportslid or as a stand-alone Sports Roll Bar – Simply select the optional fitting kit you require.
Manufactured from large 3" (76mm) diameter powder coated black stainless steel. This Amarok roll bar (styling bar) fixes through the Roll N Lock side tracks and is secured using the Qwik foot kit listed in the options. If you wish to mount spotlights to the roll bar, this can be done (option of the light mounting brackets – bottom of page).
We could use cheap mild steel and then chrome plate it when manufacturing our bars but we don’t.
Because after a year or so the bar would look unsightly when weeping rust stains appear. In the iron/carbon mix chromium is also added that gives the steel its stainless qualities. The chromium element stops the iron from oxidising and becoming rust (iron oxide). Road salt used during European winters and sea salt, speed up rust formation and again gives us another good reason to use stainless steel here in the UK & in Europe where our products are sold. Stainless steel can be exposed to the elements all year round and with a little polish now and again, can look as good as the day it came out of the packaging. This is the reason boat makers use stainless and not mild steel.
Our stainless has a 3-year warranty, features a mirror-polished chrome or black powder-coated look (on some black finished items) but is, in fact, more expensive, more durable, stainless steel.
