Hyundai have announced they will launch their brand new Santa Cruz pick-up in America in either 2020 or 2021.
It is unclear yet as to whether they intend to roll the vehicle out into other markets, including here in the UK, but we at 4x4AT.com think it’s a stunning looking vehicle and it would be a welcome addition to the marketplace. It is rumoured that Ford, after launching the Ranger in the US, will look at developing a smaller car-based pick-up, which would be in direct competition to this new Hyundai.
With Hyundai and Ford looking at launching smaller, car-based pick-ups, we are wondering whether this might be a sign of things to come, with most manufacturers previously focussing on the mid-sized pick-ups that we have become used to seeing on our roads.
One thing is for sure, with more and more pick-ups being launched all the time it is certainly an exciting time for the marketplace.
