The tread compound is formulated with a chemically coupled silica and carbon black mixture that provides excellent wet traction and handling on the highway, and lower rolling resistance than traditional full carbon black tread compounds.
Cut and chip resistance in more harsh rocky and gravel terrain
The dual draft angles on the tread element walls aid in reducing stone retention. Serrated steps in the lateral grooves of the intermediate tread rib reduces the chance of stone retention and stone drilling.
Now with super tensile steel belts, 15% stronger than ‘high tensile steel’ belts which results in higher impact strength and puncture resistance.

Wet weather tyres are rated A to G. A choice of A-rated tyres instead of G-rated tyres would cut wet braking distances by 18 metres.
