The Discoverer A/T3 Tyre From Cooper - Excellent stability - Tread compound enhances wet traction and rolling resistance - Provides outstanding performance in both on-road and off-road driving applications.
Superior all season traction The Discoverer A/T3 utilizes a balanced combination of technology, compounding and design to produce a tyre that will perform well in nearly all types of terrains. The tread compound enhances wet traction and rolling resistance, while the aggressive tread design significantly improves off-road traction without sacrificing highway performance. All traction...all terrain..all the time!
The A/T3 tread pattern exploits a combination of features specifically suited to provide solid all-terrain performance, superior all season traction, excellent stability, confident handling and reliable tread wear.
The tread compound is formulated with a chemically coupled silica and carbon black mixture that provides excellent wet traction and handling on the highway, and lower rolling resistance than traditional full carbon black tread compounds.
Cut and chip resistance in more harsh rocky and gravel terrain
The dual draft angles on the tread element walls aid in reducing stone retention. Serrated steps in the lateral grooves of the intermediate tread rib reduces the chance of stone retention and stone drilling.
The smaller gauge sipes in the tread elements provide increased vehicle stability and control, while reducing the potential for stone retention and stone drilling. The zigzag shape creates more biting edges which allow for better wet traction. 9.9 – 11 MM TREAD DEPTH
Stronger Sidewall The Light Truck (LT) A/T3 has a higher cord strength in the carcass, going from 1500 denier to 2000 denier, making it 33% stronger. This means less damage and a higher load capacity.
Now with super tensile steel belts, 15% stronger than ‘high tensile steel’ belts which results in higher impact strength and puncture resistance.
World renown in 4x4 circles, used in Rally cross, motor sport, Dakar rally and a huge following in Australia, South Africa and other places with extreme driving conditions. This is why 4x4AT.com put Cooper Tyres in its 3 core tyre manufacturer suppliers.
|Tyre Speed Rating||T|
Fuel Efficiency Rating: C
Tyres have a fuel efficiency rating from A to G. A-rated tyres are the most fuel-efficient tyres and G-rated tyres are the least efficient.
Wet Grip Rating: E
Wet weather tyres are rated A to G. A choice of A-rated tyres instead of G-rated tyres would cut wet braking distances by 18 metres.
External Rolling Noise: 73db
Breaking down the noise level ratings:
One bar indicates 3 decibels or more under the current noise legislation. Two bars indicate an acceptable noise level for current and future noise legislation. Three bars indicate a tyre that will meet current noise mandated levels, but will fail future limits and need changing in the future.
